My Teriyaki sauce originally came from a prominent Hawaiian family passed down from generation to generation.
The mainland didn’t have a thick, sweet-ginger teriyaki sauce like Hawaii is famous for. We began doing food events and fairs serving up our sauces and the response was amazing. People fell in love with the sweet Island flavor and wanted to take a bottle home.
The turning point came when our adopted niece Penny from the Island of Molokai visited us and encouraged us to market it. She also helped in keeping the Hawaiian influence in the designing of the label. Thus, we named the company after her, Penny “IPO” Puleloa. Ipo Sauce, Inc. “IPO” In Hawaiian means “Sweetheart.”
We believe once you try our Teriyaki, it separated itself from all the rest.
